不完全性がアクティビティーを誘発する

電車同士のような接点の無い異なるアクティビティー自体を生み出すことは、建築にはできない。

建築自体は動けないから。

建築にできることは異なるアクティビティーを誘発させるだけ、建築に誘発された人々がアクティビティーを生み出す。

老子は「無」が運動の源だと説く。
それを岡倉天心は「茶の本」の中で「虚」という。

「無」だから「有」になるために運動が起こる。
「虚」とは、何もない、からっぽの状態、そこに何かを入れる、起こすというアクティビティーが発生する。

何もないのに運動が起こる訳がないと思ってしまうが、何もないから、そこに何かを満たすために運動がはじまる。

全てが満たされている状態を「有」という。
「有」だと飽和状態で動きが起きない。

「茶の本」の例えで、水差しはからっぽだから水を入れることができる、からっぽだから水差しとして役に立つ。からっぽの状態こそが水差しの本質だと。

このからっぽの状態を不完全性と説いていた。

不完全であるからアクティビティーが発生する。

不完全であるから、完全になろうとしてアクティビティーが発生するのか、あるいは、不完全であるが故にアクティビティーを誘発するのか。

建築は電車のように動くことで、アクティビティー自体を発生させることはできないので、この不完全であるから、アクティビティーを誘発して、発生させるという考え方がしっくりくる。

その不完全なさまが、敷地の文脈／コンテクストと関連し、複合用途を持ち込むことによって、接点の無い異なるアクティビティーを発生させることができ、その結果、パーソナルスペースをオープンにすることができる。
