建築は強固すぎか

建築は気分の変化を受け止めてくれる存在なのか。あまりにも強固で融通がきかないから、コロコロ変わる、ある意味軽薄な気分なんてものを相手にもしてくれない。

どっしりと構えて、私の色はあなたの気分くらいでは変わりませんよ、って感じ。見ようによっては感じわるい。

最近、ずっと気になっていることが、画像を見ただけで、これ誰の作品がわかることが、その人の作風が確立されていて認知されていることだから、スタイルがあることだから、それは良いことだと暗黙のうちに了解になっているのは、それを外から眺めている人の、ギャラリーの、オーディエンスの、ほとんどの人がそうだが、その作品を理解した、だから良い、ということでしか無く、そこに曖昧なことが入り込む余地も無く、窮屈で息がつまりそうになり、せっかく素晴らしい作品なのに、何かそれは損をしているように思う。

せめて、その日の気分で変わるくらいの曖昧さを持ち込みたいのだが、やはり、その作品性が頑な過ぎて、どうなのか。

ただ、そもそも気分の変化を持ち込めるのか。気分の変化にどう対応して欲しいのか。建築ならでは対応の仕方があるか。こちらの気分の変化にリニアに対応してくれるのか、それとも、その変化を何でも包み込むように受け止めてくれるのか。建築は動かないし、動けないから、何でも包み込むように受け止めるしかないか。

ならば、建築は強固な作品性があった方が気分の変化に対応しやすいのか。
