現代に存在するための建築論

建築論があるから暮らしが良くなる、建築論からはじめるから素晴らし住宅ができる、とした。

大まかに言えば、建築論には2つある。

建築の歴史の中での位置付けのための建築論と現代に存在するための建築論。

長い建築の歴史の中で今の建築が突然現れたのでは無くて、ちょっとずつちょっとずつ積み重ね、変化し、その変化が歴史の長いスパン中でその時代の建築表現として、その都度定着していった。だから、この建築の歴史の文脈に沿って、そこから外れないように建築を構築する建築論になる。

一方、建築は建築の歴史の中だけで成立するには、あまりにも規模が大きくて、社会的影響も大きいので、その時代その時代、すなわち、現代の様々な影響を拾う。簡単に言うと、その時代その時代で暮らしは変わる、暮らしが変われば建築も変わる。明治大正の暮らしと、平成令和の暮らしは違う。だから、当然求められる建築も違う。そこに建築論が存在する。ただ、その建築論は建築の歴史の中での位置付けの建築論とは齟齬をきたすかもしれない。しかし、現代を生きる人には違和感は無い。

建築論からはじめるから素晴らしい住宅ができる、としたのは、現代に存在するための建築論に焦点を当てることをいう。
