暮らしを語る建築論

「暮らし」と「建築論」は相対することなのだろうか。先日のオープンハウスで立ち聞きした、一般紙に建築を紹介する時、建築家は建築論を展開できない、素人受けしないから、暮らしとかの話をする、本当はそこに建築論があり、それを元に実体の建築があるのに。

建築論の素は哲学であることが多い。哲学は言わば、人やこの世界を理解するための学問。暮らしは、この世界での人の営みの総称か。ならば、「暮らし」と「哲学」は相対するというよりかは、「暮らし」を哲学的に紐解いたものが建築論の一部を形成するのではないか。

たがら、「建築論」として「暮らし」を語ることができるだろうし、耳障りの良い美句麗句ではないかもしれないが、普段聞かないような言葉で、自分たちの生活を語ることが、もしかしたら、一生に一度の建築の機会には必要かもしれないと考えるがいかがだろうか。

The foundation of architectural theory is often philosophy. Philosophy is, in other words, learning to understand people and this world. Is living a collective term for the work of people in this world? Then, rather than "life" and "philosophical" being opposite, what philosophically deciphered "life" might form a part of architectural theory.

Therefore, you may be able to talk about "life" as "architectural theory", and it may not be a good-looking phrase, but talking about their lives with words that you would not normally hear, maybe How about thinking that it may be necessary for the opportunity of construction once in a lifetime?
