公私混同空間のつくり方

プライベートとパブリックのバランスを考えている。空間の公私混同のバランス、自分の家でも、ワンルームでも、例えば、人に見せられる部分と見せられない部分があるだろう。それを設えで分けるより、建築で空間化できないかという試み。空間の二面性の扱い方であり、それは本質的には人の二面性にまで及ぶことで、はっきりくっきりと分けるよりも、公私混同、公私が曖昧な空間をつくることを目論む。

さらに、公私のバランスだけでは、空間にも、建築にも特徴が出ない。それは個性かもしれないし、それが、〜らしさ、かもしれないが、バランスだけでは空間や建築として形にならない。

特徴を出すためにはアイテムを使う。アイテムとは空間や建築を彩る全ての物の総称であり、例えば、窓であったり、キッチン、家具など、照明器具も入る。

アイテムが無く、床と壁と天井だけに囲まれた空間や建築はパブリック度が高い。それが、立方体の空間で、床や壁、天井の仕上げが平滑で色が白ならば、パブリック度が1番高くなる。

変形が無く立方体で、何も無く平滑で真っ白な空間、それは何の特徴も無いが、それだけに全ての人や出来事に対して可能性が開かれている。

それが変形をして立方体の空間が直方体、さらには楕円、円、あるいは、もっと複雑な形になるか、または、床や壁、天井の色が白などの無彩色から有彩色に変化するか、あるいは、床や壁、天井の仕上げが平滑から凹凸が現れてくると、プライベート度が増していき、そこにアイテムが1つ、また1つと加わると、さらに、プライベート度が増していく。

複雑に変形した空間で、床や壁、天井の仕上げが極端に凹凸で派手な有彩色になればなるほど、アイテムが多ければ多いほど、プライベート度が高い。すなわち、特徴的になり、個性が出て、〜らしい空間や建築になっていく。

以上の公私のバランス調整を重ね合わせたり、連続させたりして、公私混同の曖昧な空間や建築をつくっていく。

"How to create a public / private mixed space"

In a complex deformed space, the floor, walls, and ceiling finishes are extremely uneven and flashy, and the more items, the more private. In other words, it becomes characteristic, individuality comes out, and becomes a space and architecture that seems to be.
