細分化と自由度

プランを細分化していくことは通常段々と空間の使い道を決めていくことになる。それは段々と空間の自由度が無くなることを意味する。

建築のビルディングタイプによってはそれが良い場合もあるけれど、小さな飲食店では何かと何かを兼ねるようなことがよくあるので、できるだけ空間の自由度が高い方が気が利いている。でも、細分化していくことが佇める場所をつくり出すとするならば、細分化しても自由度が変わらないようにするしかない。

自由度を別の言い方をすれば、置換可能度かもしれない。細分化した空間がある程度置換可能であれば、自由度が高いといえるだろう。

それでは、空間を細分化しながら置換の可能性を高めるにはどうしたらいいのか。それは、細分化していった空間を単体で考えるのでは無くて、大きさに変化をつけてグルーピングするのである。

あくまでもグルーピングした中での置換可能性になるが、それでもそのグループの中での自由度は高くなるだろう。

"Subdivision and degree of freedom"

The subdivision of the plan usually determines the usage of the space gradually. It means that the degree of freedom of space gradually disappears.

Depending on the building type of architecture, it may be good, but small restaurants often serve as something, so it is better to have as much space as possible. However, if we want to create a place where subdivision can stand, we have no choice but to keep the degree of freedom unchanged.

In other words, the degree of freedom may be the degree of substitution. If the subdivided space can be replaced to some extent, it can be said that the degree of freedom is high.

Then, how can we increase the possibility of replacement while subdividing the space? It is not to consider the subdivided spaces as a single unit, but to change the size and group them.

Although it will be possible to substitute in the grouping, the degree of freedom within the group will still be high.
