境界線の中に留まる

敷地境界線を超えて街につなげようという試みは、建築が敷地境界線からはみ出ることができないから生じる衝動で、と同時に周辺環境のコンテクストからの影響も考えざるを得ない産物である。

それに対して敷地境界線の中だけで建築を考えることは真逆の試みであり、建築のスケールの大きさを考えると周辺環境に与える影響は大きいので、敷地境界線の中だけで建築を考えることには消極的になる。

ただ、そこで敷地境界線の中に留まって建築を考えることが有効になる前提が存在するならば、とても興味深いことになる。
