周辺環境の変化途中の建築

周辺環境がこれから劇的に変わる中に、容易に変わることができない建築を置こうとした時に、変化した後に焦点を合わせるのが常套手段かもしれないが、それまでにも時は流れ、それまでにも建築は存在するので、変化の過程での建築の在り方も考えなくてはならない。

その時に、周辺環境の変化を全て受け止めてしまい、そして、それを跳ね返してしまうような強い強度を持った建築を置こうとする態度は新しい建築の形式や見え方を求めることになり、それはそれで面白いが、それは今までよくあることであり、そうではなくて、全てを受け止めてしまうのだけれども、その時々の変化には対応して溶け合い、ただ、次の変化には別に対応するような、最終的には建築は周辺環境には対応してきたのだけれども、その時々の痕跡は残り、その痕跡がデザインとして、新しい風景になり得るようなことを考えている。
