外部でもない、内部でもない

外部と内部のつながりを考える時、外部と内部はつなげるのが良いということが前提になるが、それは同時に、外観だけ、内部空間だけを重要視することが良くないということも前提になる。

外観だけ、あるいは内部空間だけでは建築として成立しないと考えるからだが、外観が何かを喚起し、周辺環境や内部空間に何か影響を与えるならば、あるいは内部空間から外へ広がり何か影響を与えるならば、その影響が「つながり」と呼べるような双方向で無くて、一方通行的な影響であったとしても、その場合は、外観だけ、あるいは内部空間だけでも建築として成立するだろう。

もしくは、外部でもない、内部でもないような、あるいは、外部と内部の両方の要素を併せ持ったようなハイブリッドな空間を創出できれば、「つながり」などと考える必要すらなくなる。

"Neither outside nor inside"

When considering the connection between the outside and the inside, it is premised that it is good to connect the outside and the inside, but at the same time, it is also premised that it is not good to emphasize only the appearance and the internal space.

This is because I think that the exterior alone or the interior space alone cannot be established as an architecture, but if the exterior evokes something and has any effect on the surrounding environment or interior space, or if it spreads out from the interior space and has some effect. If given, even if the effect is a one-way effect rather than a two-way effect that can be called a "connection," in that case, the exterior alone or the interior space alone will be established as an architecture.

Or, if we can create a hybrid space that is neither external nor internal, or that has both external and internal elements, we do not even have to think of it as a "connection."
