計画道路や鉄道の高架化などを都市のリノベーションとして捉えると、関係する建築も都市のリノベーションの対象となる。計画に触れる建築は大体が壊され、新しい土地区画の元に建て替わる。その場合、単なる建て替えで済ますのではなく、元があり、元に対するリノベーションとなるように、建築は元の要素を含む必要があるだろう。
