道具の魅力

全ての道具が手作りで、自分の手や癖に馴染むように工夫がしてある。70年分のほんの一部、倉庫の奥から引っ張り出して、昔の大工の道具箱を並べてみたら、今は使わないものばかり、今は手作りしなくても安易に手に入る道具と比べたら融通が効かない。

今の道具は１つでマルチな対応ができるようになっているが、並べた道具箱にはこの場面ではこれ、あの場面ではあれ、その場面ではそれ、というように道具を見れば建築の中のどこの部分で、どのような作業をするのか、そして、どのような納め方をするのかがわかる。

道具ひとつで人と建築を想起させる。

まるで古道具市、気になるものだけをピックアップした。祖父か父親のものと、形や大きさがいいもの、自分は大工ではないから、実際の使い方や希少性より、デザインが気になるものだけを、ものとして魅力があるものだけを残すことにした。
