つまらない建築

わかりやすいことは何と建築をつまらなくすることか。

小さい建築故に、遠くからも見渡せる敷地故に、建築全体を瞬時に識別しようと思えばできてしまう。その建築が自ら主張するようなものならば、これ程わかりやすいことはない。思いがままに伝わるように表現できる。

ただ、何でも可視化できてしまう状況は建築をつまらなくする。すぐに全体がわからない、近寄らないとわからないことが必要になる。
