小さい建築の影響力

圧倒的にスケールが大きい都市計画に対して、圧倒的にスケールが小さい建築計画で何がてきるかを考えてみると、少なくとも大きいものに飲み込まれてしまうのではなく、波紋が広がるように敷地境界線を越えて影響を与えることかもしれないと思った。

小さなひとつの建築が影響を持って周辺環境の雰囲気を変えることは良い例か悪い例かは別にしてある。その時の建築はやはり自律した強度が強い建築である場合が多い。つまり、主張が強く、何かを単独で強く表現している。

ただ、そういう自律した建築は段々と疲弊をしてくることも事実である。主張の強さ、表現の強さはいずれ慣れるか時代にそぐわなくなる。その時の建築の強さは違和感しかなく、むしろ主張の強さ、表現の強さが行き詰まり感を出す。

敷地境界線を超えて与える影響力の源は自律の強さだけだろうか。影響力など無くても良いとなるとまた別の話だが、自律以外、それは他律で自律以上の影響力を出すことを考えてみると、周辺環境との関係性でまた別の視点が持て、新たな関係性が生まれるような気がする。

Is the strength of autonomy the only source of influence beyond the boundaries of the site? It is a different story when it is not necessary to have influence, but when considering that it exerts more influence than autonomy by heteronomy, it has a different perspective in relation to the surrounding environment. I feel like a new relationship will be born.
