手法としての抽象と洗練

抽象化と洗練は削ぎ落とすという過程は同じだが、削ぎ落とし方が違う。削ぎ落とすためのルールが違うと言っても良いかもしれない。例えるならば、抽象化は枝葉の余分な末端を切り落として、木が持つ本質を鮮明にするが、洗練は枝葉の末端を整えることにより、木が持つ本来の姿を鮮明にする。だから、削ぎ落とし方によっては抽象化されたものも洗練されたものも同じに見えし、抽象化して洗練させることもできるから、抽象化と洗練は太古の昔から様々な所で何かを象徴したり、主張する際の手法として用いられてきたのだろう。
