視覚で感じたことの中にある意味が明示ならば瞬時に全体を把握することができ、それがわかりやすさや自律性の高さにつながる。

わかりやすさは何かを相手に伝える時には非常に大事なことだが、相手に深い印象を残すことを意図した場合には必ずしも大事なことでは無い。深い印象を残したければ明示より暗示、すなわちメタファーを活用する方が良い。

視覚で感じるメタファーにより、瞬間の把握では無くほんの少しのタイムラグが生じる。このタイムラグが深い印象へとつながる。
