素材感の影響

素材感だけを抜き出して眺めてみると、素材の違いに関係無く全て同じに見える場合がかる。

例えば、木製の仕上げがされていても、そこにクリアな厚い塗装がかけられていたら、木製に見せかけたプリントと素材感は似たようになる。何かでコートすることにより汚れや傷みから守ろうとするのはわかるが、それならばそもそも木を使わなければ良い。

素材の違いより素材感の違いに注目すると見た目以上に素材の持つ空間への影響を感じ取ることができる。
