偶然的に待つ

建築がつくられていく上で必然的にそうなったのではなくて偶然的にそうなったようにできないかと考えている。必然的とは建築計画学的な積み重ねや暗黙の了解も含めた同時代的な表現であり、偶然的とはそれらの意図が及ばないところで決定されることである。

建築計画学的な積み重ねや暗黙の了解も含めた同時代的な表現は全体的に同一なものを生み出す方向に力が働く。それに対して偶然的は同一なものを生み出す力とは断絶して、とてもフラットな状態で何にでもなるし、何にでも変化する。それ故に偶然的は目の前の事柄を重視し、全体的な関係性は二の次になる。

だから、偶然的ははじめから全体的な結果を生み出すことはできず、目の前の事柄に対して個別に結果を生み出しながら、ある時全体が現れるの待つ。

"Wait by chance"

Therefore, by chance, the matter in front of us is emphasized, and the overall relationship is secondary.

Therefore, by chance, it is not possible to produce an overall result from the beginning, and while producing an individual result for the matter in front of us, we wait for the whole to appear at a certain time.
