ねじれ

建築は常にねじれていると思った。建築はスケールが大きいので目立ちやすく、単体での存在感が際立つ。しかし、同時にスケールが大きいので周りへ影響を与えるし、影響を与えられもして、周りとの関わりの中で存在することを余儀なくされる。単体で存在しながら周りとの関わりもあるので、建築を一概にこういう存在だと決めつけることは難しい。ただ、そこが建築の魅力のような気がする。建築を単体で見た時の完結的な形や空間に対して、印象はそこにいる人によって様々であり、建築の形や空間の存在だけに左右される訳ではない。この存在のねじれ加減をコントロールしてみるのも面白い。
