効率だけで決まらない

建築計画学的に考えると敷地から一番効率の良いプランは導き出せる。特に建築の用途が集合住宅やテナントビルなどのように床面積の大小が事業計画に直結するものは特にそうである。規模や戸数だけで考えれば大体似たり寄ったりのプランに収束していく。ところが実際は設計者の数だけ違ったプランが存在するはずである。すなわちそれは規模や戸数の効率だけで建築は決まる訳ではないということであり、おそらく世の中にある建築で戸建て住宅の次に多いのは集合住宅かテナントビルだと思われるので、何かそこでできることを見つけてアウトプットすることは社会的に意義あることだと感じた瞬間があった。

"Efficiency alone is not enough"

From an architectural planning perspective, the most efficient plan can be derived from the site. This is especially the case when the size of the floor area is directly linked to the business plan, such as a collective housing or a tenant building. Considering only the scale and the number of units, it will converge to a plan that is roughly similar. However, in reality, there should be as many different plans as there are designers. In other words, it means that architecture is not determined only by the scale and efficiency of the number of units, and probably the next most common construction in the world after detached houses is collective housing or tenant buildings, so what can be done there. There was a moment when I felt that finding and outputting is socially meaningful.
